About Vijay Amarnath

Animation Director • AI Educator • Author • Visual Storyteller

With over 28 years of experience in the creative industry, Vijay Amarnath has built a distinguished career in animation, advertising, filmmaking, illustration, and creative education. He has directed more than 100 television commercials, contributed to feature films and animation projects, and authored over 50 children's drawing and activity books.

Throughout his career, Vijay has collaborated with leading brands, production houses, educational institutions, and international clients across four continents — from key animation at Millimages in France, to the He Kākano education film for the New Zealand Minister of Māori Development, to creative projects across Africa and Asia — delivering creative solutions that combine storytelling, design, and visual innovation.

Today, he is passionate about exploring the future of creativity through Artificial Intelligence. As the creator of the AIM Framework™ (Articulate • Imagine • Make), he empowers artists, designers, educators, and content creators to integrate AI into their creative workflows while preserving artistic thinking.

He is currently directing an AI animated series for a global children's brand, developing his first AI animated feature film, and pursuing a PhD in AI in Animation Education. He recently delivered the "Content Creation with AI" workshop at the Design Summer School 2026, IIIT-Delhi.
